Rental conditions

Definitions: The renter, person who wishes to rent a property – hereinafter referred to as “the renter”
The rental Company “Like Algarve” is representing the owner – hereinafter referred to as “Like Algarve”


  1. No pets allowed
  2. It is forbidden to smoke in the apartment.
  3. The rental prices include
    • the initial and final cleaning,
    • towel change twice a week.
    • change of bed linen once a week.
  4. normal use of water, gas and electricity, unless otherwise stated in the reservation agreement.
  5. A deposit of EUR 250 is requested upon arrival (this deposit may also be transferred to the owner's account before arrival). The deposit will be refunded to your account within a week after your departure, after deduction for any compensation.
  6. Reservations are preferably made by email, but are also possible by telephone. Reservations are binding after confirmation by Like Algarve. Contact details of Like Algarve, see contact info.
  7.  Terms of payment
    • 20% of the total rental amount must be paid in advance as a deposit. We ask you to transfer this amount to our account immediately upon reservation.
    • You will receive our rental agreement and all necessary documents within ten days of booking.
    • The remaining amount must be transferred to our account in full four weeks before arrival, or, if expressly agreed, in cash (euros) on location to Like Algarve.
    • For reservations made within four weeks of the rental period, full payment must be made immediately upon reservation.
  8. Arrival and departure
    • The arrival and departure days are freely selectable.
    • Unless otherwise agreed, the property you will rent is available from 4 p.m. on the first rental day and must be vacated before 11 a.m. on the last day of the rental period.
    • We request that you plan your arrival between 4 and 7 pm. If this does not suit your travel itinerary, you will need to inform Like Algarve in advance of your expected arrival time.
    • If the renter does not or does not inform in time (before 12.00 noon on the day of arrival) that he won't be able to arrive between 4 and 7 pm, additional costs may be charged for reception outside hours.
  9. Cancellation by the renter
    • Cancellations must be confirmed to Like Algarve by telephone and/or e-mail.
    • The cancellation cost is 20% of the total amount of rent up to 4 weeks before the start of the rental period.
    • From 4 to 2 weeks before the start of the rental period the cancellation cost is 50% of the total amount of rent.
    • In the event of a later cancellation, the entire rent is due.
      For your information, it is possible to protect your party from a cancellation fee by means of cancellation insurance. We therefore advise you to travel with cancellation insurance in addition to travel insurance.
  10. Cancellation by Like Algarve
    If the owner or Like Algarve is forced to cancel a reservation through no fault of its own, the renter will be offered another rental of a similar nature and price. If this proves impossible or if the renter cannot accept this proposal, Like Algarve will refund the rent already paid, but without compensation for any possible damage whatsoever.
  11. Liability during stay
    Like Algarve is liable for the apartment, the furnishings and all items belonging to the rented property. Any damage caused by the renter or co-renters must be immediately reported to the landlord and reimbursed. Before your departure, Like Algarve will check the accommodation.
    Like Algarve cannot accept any liability or responsibility for damage or inconveniences in any form and from whatever cause, for the renter or others who are in or near the rented apartment.
  12. Size of rental party: 4 plus 1 child max 3 years old
    During booking you must inform us of the number of tenants who will use the facilities (including babies and small children). If there are any changes, the renter must inform Like Algarve.
